good idea; it will allow others to know what is going on.

I encourage players to communicate in character when appropriate lol.

IE: Major Becker to MajorGeneral Westfalen: " under heavy attack; I urgently request additional forces for map grid c7 or we will not hold"

MajorGeneral Westfalen to Major Becker: " Request denied, all forces are commited, hold the line! "

Major Becker to MajorGeneral Westfalen: " Leading security company into battle; we shall very likely not return; Liebe Deutschland! "

Rob, can you get this thing going and locate the repair depot on the map? as it turns out the old lady went on a cleaning rampage and threw out all of my notes so i cant remember where we decided to put the repair depot. move the 3 groups forward as planned, and get the engineers busy laying minefields/wiring up bridges to be blown.

im still getting my ass kicked by roughly 18 hour vertigo attacks every day. hope it ends soon and goes back to the 8 to 12 hour variety.

MOVEMENT ORDERS -

the easiest way for me to explain how i want to move up our forces would be with the map i have attached to this mail. you will see that there are three main groups -

Northern Group - Germania Pzgrnd. co., 16 Pz. Co., Schw. Pz. Co. Eberbach

Middle Group - SS Pzgrnd. co. Nieb., SS Pz. Co. Deut.

Southern Group - 18 Aufk. Co., 48 Stug. Co., 37 Stug. Co.

i would like to move these Co. foward at the fastest rate possible, along the route shown, to the following final locations, as shown on the map.

Northern group to map sector J6

Middle Group to map sector J7

Southern Group to map sector J9

Digging in is done automatically. The troops in the front line are also already dug in and have some trenches and mines.

Will get things updated and sent out today!

KG_Panzerschreck 07-19-2005 07:36 AM

I still want the units ordered to make mines to make them. the more the merrier! same goes for the extra foxholes and trenches, if we can make more, then so be it.

did you understand the movement orders ok?

KG_Panzerschreck 07-31-2005 01:16 AM

Rob, when you get time could you write a little AAR in here about the battle please. and that goes for each battle. everyone write a short AAR describing what happened in each of your battles so everyone knows whats going on.

Basicly Rob kicked his ass. what he saw of his units he kicked that is. mostly armor.

big map, bot of you saw it. i got pummelled with artillery, rockets and mortars to open the game. Stu wasn't very subtle about whwere he was going. He brought out 1st a couplr t-70s to recon u to my bldg line. I had a pltoon of infantry there but they got chewed up by some 122 artty. I got a couple of Marders into a good position but lost one quickly. Then I started to move in a couple Ferdinands to the area as I could see this was going to be his major push. Side note about Stu, he seems to be a bit uni-dimensional in his attacks, no attempts at feints or anything. He used area fire to level a couple buildings that stood in his way with a plt of T-34.
I ended up losing 2 marders, KO and 1 marder abandoned. No serious opposition was encountered for my Ferdinands, however I will say that an all out effort will be made to counter the ferdy threat and I suspect it will be airpower. The tough part about that is that it take about 3 turns for a Ferdy to roll into or out of a single-tile Scattered Trees patch. But those tanks will be the main stumbling block for the ruskies as long as I can keep them alive and get my AT Flak and HMG reinforcements in place.

KG_Panzerschreck 08-21-2005 09:33 PM

alot of positioning. seems logical. i would expect the next round of battles on those maps to have them pushing hard to make a crossing somewhere.

KG_Panzerschreck 08-28-2005 04:48 AM

That would be very cool. MG-42 heaven.... :fight:
