The last year and a half or so have been lean times for many producers and sellers of military diecast. Too many have gone out of business or at least greatly reduced inventory to cope with our not so robust economy. P-38J "Pat III" Oliver Taylor - Italy from Joe Pilot for $33.00.
Lockheed P-38 J Lightning - 'Pat III', Col. Oliver B. Taylor, CO of the 14th Fighter Group, Triolo, Italy, July 1944. Col. Taylor kept his P-38J with the 49th FS during his time as CO of the 14th FG. There is no record that he scored any victories in this particular fighter. Taylor was struck down with polio and transferred out of the group on July 17. His command was transferred to Col. Daniel Campbell.
