We hope that everyone had a great Valentine's Day and did not make the mistake of giving your gal diecast instead of flowers and candy.

The last year and a half or so have been lean times for many producers and sellers of military diecast. Too many have gone out of business or at least greatly reduced inventory to cope with our not so robust economy. Among those companies in this category is Spirit of '76, which appears to liquidating all of its remaining stock at 50% off its sale prices and shipping is free. Still available are two versions of the 1:50 scale Churchill Tank for just $10.00 a piece. The first is the British Army, Italy, 1944 (CC60103).



Second is the Soviet Army, 1943, Lease-Lend, Mk IV (CC60102).

We have three pick option to open our air selections this week. Each is a 1:48 scale Armour/Franklin Mint He 111 priced by Randy's Die Cast at $69.00. The first of these has has the over-sized Recognition Crosses and was flown in Poland, September Campaign, 1939.



The second option is from the Battle of Britain in 1941.



Third is North Africa, 1941--Derma, Libya.

Our final selection this week is a 1:72 Corgi P-38J "Pat III" Oliver Taylor - Italy from Joe Pilot for $33.00.




Lockheed P-38 J Lightning - 'Pat III', Col. Oliver B. Taylor, CO of the 14th Fighter Group, Triolo, Italy, July 1944. Col. Taylor kept his P-38J with the 49th FS during his time as CO of the 14th FG. There is no record that he scored any victories in this particular fighter. Taylor was struck down with polio and transferred out of the group on July 17. His command was transferred to Col. Daniel Campbell.
