Default For the Week of February 7, 2010

The Saints have won the Super Bowl so it's time for some early diecast Mardi Gras!

First up is a 1:32 scale Forces of Valor M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage Halftrack from Trinkets to Treasures for $31.95.

Unimax Forces of Valor bring amazing military vehicles to life! This is a highly detailed 1:32 scale replica of the U.S. M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage. Forces of Valor model number 81203. The model measures approximately 7 1/2 inches long.

The half-track operation of the M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage was a specific necessity in navigating the rough terrain of the Ardennes Forest. Equipped with four .50 caliber machine guns and an armor reinforced turret, the M16 was primarily used against German ground troops. Forces of Valor models are second to none in detail and realism! These true to life die-cast vehicles feature precision engineering. Forces of Valor models have have working treads and suspension, turrets, elevating cannons, opening hatches and removable accessories. Most Forces of Valor vehicles include scale model figures. They come fully painted, detailed and assembled.

Our second armor pick is the DRAGON 60349 - 1/72 scale - AAV7A1 MK-154 MICLIC (MINE CLEARANCE LINE CHARGE) from Mission Models for $14.99.

Features: Open window display packaging; Highly popular and collectible item; True to 1/72 scale; Fully accurate mold; Fully assembled; Historically accurate markings and insignia; and Includes protective display case.

Dragon Armor has previously released a 1/72 AAVP7A1, but the newest member in the family offers something extra. The new collectors’ item includes an accurately depicted MK-154 MICLIC (Mine Clearance Line Charge) system mounted atop the AAV. Firing up to three rocket-projected explosive line charges into a minefield, the MK-154 system can produce a safe lane up to 16m wide and 100m long. This self-contained electric and hydraulic mine-clearing equipment is ideal for beach assaults, and was deployed in OIF during the initial invasion. This particular model lacks nothing! It is finished in a three-color NATO camouflage scheme. All the relevant detail of the real AAV7A1 is glorious portrayed. This unique model represents an unusual vehicle in the USMC inventory, one that is sure to please fans of modern armored equipment.
