Default For the Week of June 8, 2008

A couple of days ago we honored the 64th Anniversary of D-Day. Continuing with that theme, our armor selections are from the Corgi 1:50 scale OMAHA BEACH - D-DAY, JUNE 6 60th ANNIVERSARY SERIES. Both of our armor picks are On Mark red tag sale pieces.

The first is a US51011 M4A3 Sherman Tank with Exhaust Stacks US Army 741st Tank Battalion, priced at 24.00.

It can be found in the second row of AFV's on this page:

The second selection can be found at that same link, but three rows from the bottom. Offered for $15.00, it is a US60401 M3A1 Half Track USA,41st Armored Infantry, 2nd Armored Division.

Our first aircraft selection is also a Corgi, but in the 1:72 scale. From Diecast Direct for just $23.97, it is the AA36606 Lockheed F-4-1-LO Lightning - Photo Reconnaissance, A55-3, RAAF 1st. PRU. Because Diecast Direct won't let me show you a picture of it, we turn to Tim's fantastic Corgi site to get one.

Our last selection continues to honor the World War II Western Allies and is also a 1:72 Corgi. From Pete's for a low $19.99, it is a CLOSEOUT WESTLAND LYSANDER MK.I - L6877/JV-W, NO.6 SQUADRON RAF, PALESTINE 1940.
