Default For the Week of December 28, 2008

It's the last time around for this year--except for our upcoming 2008 Die Cast Buys of the Year. So I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy 2009.

Our first pick this last time around is a Dragon 1/35 King Tiger Porsche Turret with Zimmerit from Pete's for $49.99. That price includes shipping to the end of the year.

Get this early version of the KT here:

Our second selection is a very good deal from Squadron on a large 1:24 scale Franklin Mint tank. It's a M4A3 Sherman 'Easy 8'. Korean War era US Army medium tank die cast model finished with fierce tiger paint scheme of the 3rd Infantry Division, 64th Tank Battalion, Korea, March 1951. The tab is $93.99.

Also at Squadron is a very good deal on a classic Corgi 1:72 scale heavy bomber. This one is a Consolidated B-24J Liberator- "Michigan". Series Aviation: Nose Art. Fully assembled and painted die-cast metal model. Includes removable landing gear, rubber tires, and display stand. The art refers to The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is the U.S. product development managers alma mater, M Go Blue! This BB (before Beau) classic can bomb Columbus for you if you have the $47.52.

Here's your ticket to Ann Arbor:

Our final selection our Texas vendors is the rarely done IL-2. This 1:72 scale version is the largest of the two "Flying Tanks" out there. It's an IXO and Pete can get you one for just $17.96, if you use Pete's coupon code. In any case, your shipping to the lower 48 is free.

Hit the deck and direct all AAA here:
