Default For the Week of June 28, 2009

June is almost gone, so these will be our last picks until after July 4th or later. Our first armor selection this week is an excellent and very fine 21st Century not-so-difficult-to-assemble 1:32 scale kit of the Sherman Firefly Vc. Monkey Depot has it for just $5.95.

They won't let me show you a picture, but can check it out here:

Our next pick is a 1:50 scale Corgi Marine flame tank from the Korean War. Zion still has them for $32.95.

Our first flying pick is a great deal on a Vietnam era chopper. Corgi makes it, a Corgi CH34C Us Army Virginia 1966 US ARMY CH34, in 1:72 scale. The Airplane Shop will sell you one for only $19.95.

The landing pad is here:

Our final pick this week and month is an excellent deal on a Corgi 1:72 scale Hawker Typhoon NF Mk.Ib--Royal Aircraft Establishment. Military issue has it for just $14.95.

Featuring the night fighter markings of a Royal Aircraft Establishment Typhoon stationed at Boscombe Down, this limited edition 1/72 scale die cast model of Britain's most successful World War II attack plane features engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit with a clear canopy and a pilot figure, wing-mounted cannons, a rotating propeller, optional-position landing gear with real rubber tires, and more. 6¾" wingspan; includes a display stand.
