I play tested 233's against the stewarts last night, reg vs reg

Long range seems to be your best bet with the 233's vs the stewarts.
Neither has great penetration at long range though
Agreed that the rate of fire is an issue....

I'm going to very closely group them together by platoon, and hope that improves my odds

I just lost a 233 to a Stewart. They were almost a full map length apart.

I suspect that most of the Stuarts are vets.

On the good news side, I knocked out an ATG with area fire.

Same here..but lost two 233's to the venerable Stuarts.at very long range. Moving into the center town, right flank nearly clear and the right flank is secured. Full court press to commence soon

The Stuart was between the lines of trees bracketing the end of the north road. I had two AFV's firing at him before he slipped away into the scattered trees.

Feedback to Kerry:

The Stuart appears to be the unrivaled main battle tank in this one. Lots of ammo, a great rate of fire, fast, tracked, thick enough front armor to shrug off ATR rounds over 100 m or so, and cheap enough to buy vets. Its only weakness is that it has a low blast factor.

Our heavy A/C's have a nice gun when you hit something, but it's like shooting a .45/70. The low ammo load out, including very small number of anti-armor rounds is a challenge.

10 turns in,
Scout car destroyed, 1-233 destroyed by a AT gun, 1 light tank destroyed by a ATR, lost boys crushed by infantry attack supported by Stewarts. H/t's and trucks still intact,
little damage done to Marks commies.

Difficult sledding so far..... but I have a better idea of his intentions....

I'm seeing lots and lots of Soviet infantry (mixed types)--even if Steve if using many split squads.

Turn 13,

I'm seeing the same thing here, looks like a solid infantry push against the south face of the map, perfect infantry country. I will be hard pressed to offer a cohesive defense.

I have pulled back the entire northside attack, and will go on the defensive at the back edge of the map. I have lost a 233, have a 233 with the gun blown off, and have a 233 bogged and currently under tank attack(soon to be lost).

all 4 trucks are intact with zero chance of moving them forward at the current time

Also lost is 2 of the Lt tanks, the scout car and the lost boys,

Soldier's losses are so light as to be none exsistent.

I am in a tough position, but will offer the best defence possible and use attack oppertunities as I can .......
