Just took one long look.

At center court--Place guns in wood to left and right, as well as in the scattered trees close in and commence blasting buildings in turn one and maybe troops in turns 2. Have mortars ready tot take out any guns the may have.

On offense--guess we have to take the village with the double flag (assuming a mirror defense force there) before we can ride to the rescue of center force. Going down the road to the small flag hamlet will mean the risk of flank shots by ATG's.

Thats what I was thinking also, I'm glad we grabbed the 150's

I'm thinking the parachute troops will be overwhelmed in a hurry if they are deployed at the bridges, therefore I'm planning on having them defend the woods at the rear of their deployment zone, (map center). They will offer tolken resistance at the bridges with mortar support to slow the infantry down.

Offence will be a infantry push supported by H/Ts and tanks.

The center bridge (the one with no road) is mostly in defilade and will probably be the easist to get across....

Its going to be fun....

By now you know that our opponents purchased very many FT teams and more than a few guns.

Speaking of guns--beware of the the ATG's defending the bridges. They got at least two more powerful guns than the doorknockers we received.

Thanks for the heads up on the guns defending the bridges...

I've bagged several of Rangers guns in the town, His flamers hit mostly empty buildings, I'm trying to setup a solid defence that requires him to move to engage me.

Next turn I hope to have infantry across the bridge with no road, they will turn left and follow the river and clear the far left bridge, thats where the main crossing will happen.

He has been cautious advancing his attacking force....

Well, as discussed with Bill, they are not more "powerful" it's just that I forgot to adjust the Axis' ammo load TYPE to even out the different penetration abilities. Unfortunatly there's no fix to my oversight, my appologies to the Axis team.

Turn 4,
The 150mm's continue to pound the village buildings, he has to be taking alarming casualties in the buildings as 150mm rounds have hit buildings occupied with 4 or more squads.

Bagged another light gun in the city, I'd be surprised if he has any left there....

Gains made on turning his left flank in the city, the 75mm have been invaluable for that

Ranger is attempting to cross the bridge (with no road) in strength with Greyhounds, I have the bridge covered with mortars and will pound the bridge deck with mortar fire.
Hopefully I can bag a few of the open topped Greyhounds and clog the bridge deck.

Spotted what appears to be a Stewart ???, or likely a H/T hiding behind a city building, I'm attempting to bag it with indirect fire from a 150mm.

Light casualties, a few ammo issues, with forward progress being made....
