Classic War Game Compendia
Great for that rainy (or snowy for some even this late in the year) day, are a couple of sites that cover many of our old favorite computer war games.
The first is War on the Web: War as a Game , which was last updated at the end of 2003. Too bad they don't list KG as one of the wargaming clans. Check it out here: http://aylic.com/War/wargame.html The second is my favorite and most comprehensive site of which I am aware. It is M. Evan Brooks' WARGAME REVIEWS & ANALYSIS: THE 20TH CENTURY Evan not only compiles more games than anyone else. He also rates them and provides commentary. I have the pleasure of knowing him. He told me some time ago that he no longer had access to his site. However, that site now appears at a new location and was update in 2005, so I'm hopeful that he now can add to it, as his time permits. In addition to being a computer wargame expert, his first love appears to war board gaming. Whenever I have run into him, he always seems to have the latest board game with it and is very happy to converse about it. Here's the link to Evans' site: http://home.comcast.net/~evanbrooks/
