Battle 1: Close victory for the British
British: 939 men; 881 kills; 265 remaining (Kharkov) French: 1012 men; 733 kills; 123 remaining (Sspoom) A ferocious battle in which Sspoom made numerous nearly successful assaults on my right flank. A few KGL line companies and remaining footgaurd successfully repulsed the final attacks of the Old and Middle Gaurd.

Make me proud, Mark. One more win to push Marshall Sspoom out of Central Spain. Marshall Sspoom actually broke my line last night right at the seam as it bent back to the right but the troops that broke through were caught in a 3 way cross fire that stopped them cold but not before they unchivalrously struck down my general!

Game 2 Soldier completely routes marshall Sspooms tired and demoralized survivors from the 1st battle. Bereft of cannon lost somewhere in the mud of a hasty retreat the valiant froggies are not able to put together a cohesive defence and are destroyed piecemeal in one of the most 1 sided battles yet fought.
Soldier fielded 959 troops and had 571 remaining Sspoom fielded 1049 and only 62 lived to tell the tale Soldiers army stays at 12000 Sspooms 1st army is down to 10800 The froggies are pushed out of the 1st tier of maps.

The Armee De Cleveland arrives fresh on the field. General Kharkov makes a key tactical mistake of deploying behind woods. Little does he realize that his cannons can not go through woods! A huge mistake that he doesn't realize until his troops are well into the woods. He is forced to send his cannon unescorted on a flank march covered only by calvary.
Marshall Sspoom's Armee De Cleveland features more long range skirmishers and the Brits rapidly lose ground against their foe especially without key artillery support. Last ditch calvary charges fail to change the inevitable and General Kharkov is handed a devastating loss. I forgot to write down stats but each army was around 950 men and I inflicted 390 or so casualties and Sspoom inflicted about 700.

Everyone should get this game and play.
Cmon, we need fresh meat. I promise you that you will not regret playing this game, very fun. Great game, Steve. He moved one company of heavy grenadiers over to support three light infantry companies facing a charge of three KGL line companies. The grenadiers turned the tide. A very long, stratigic game. Back and forth and back and forth and back again. A blast. |
