Heres a couple of questions for you Rob
1) how the heck do convoys work?? I try assigning a route from one friendly port to another, then I select transports and escorts. The convoy heading remains red though, which is supposed to mean there arent enough transports. I was trying to ship oil to North Africa; the oil in the port province says 0/22; is that making the convoy title red because there is no oil as of yet? 2) Air transports. I cant seem to find anything that would indicate being able to load supplies on but you must be able to. I have ju52 wings ready to go but cant figure out how to load things on to them; the manual is useless. I havnt got paras yet but I'll assume I will just plot them on the transport and away they'll go, but what about oil, supplies, etc???

Air supply must first be properly researched in the Air Transport catagory.
Wehere ever your forces are not able to be supplied overland, the game will automatically make a supply depot in an occupoed or allied province for your units in the area to subsist on. If you have the Auto Generate and Auto Maintain convoy buttons checked your Naval minister will handle the details for you.

hmm, well air transport was already researched and I cant seem to be able to find those shipping commands; this is why I never got into HOI before, it was too time consuming trying to figure it out lol..but I'm trying,,the manual just sucks.

for air transport you need the battlefield interdiction researched.
for convoys you need to produce both convoys and escorts in groups not individual ships. also dont listen to Rob :P

Ahhh, I have HOI 1 but have not really played it as I got it just before HOI 2 came out as it was in the bargain bin and wanted to see if I should spend the money on the new game. I could boot it up this weekend and putz about with it. Up for a short little co-op?

Umm, if you mean you and I playing partner countries, sure.
I have it patched up to 1.5 i believe
