Good News for VISTA Users

"We have something cooking for you guys having problems between broken Vista drivers and CMBB/CMAK that should hopefully be ready for release sometime this week."

They are now posted for download at $5 a pop. I'm able to play the games with Vista now but went ahead and splurged for them to see if they'll run a little better. Just did a quick test and the do seem to help my games run better. They load much quicker and I no longer have the shaky movement point when plotting movement. Worth the $10 to me.

I hope this will work with your v1.03 PBEM opponents.

I didn't think of that until I'd installed them. I was able to watch the movie that one of my teammates in the Diverse tourney sent so I'm hoping the res work okay too.

Bad news: it appears that 1.04 and 1.03 are not compatible for H2H play. See:

Well I did get the error message with my CMAK game but I still have the earlier executable and can play with that one for those who haven't upgraded. I've not gotten the error message with CMBB but I've also got the executable with that one and it works also so I can play 1.03 or 1.04 with both games. I'll prefer to play 1.04 whenever possible as it does run better on my Vista computer.
