Hey Mark, glad to see you're "in."

The random map (ha) is done. I modified all the stupid terrain so it looks a little more realistic: like walls & hedges appearing for no reason & roads at 90* angles going no-where and, made the farms all nice & cozy. :) Plus I cleaned up the mess "they" called a village (just throwing 30 buildings helter-skelter on a map does not make a village- just an idiot village).

Map: 1200 x 1200m "village" style map- small hills, trees-light, village is in the middle, roads running in an inverted "Z" pattern across the map (more or less).

Since I'm playing I haven't done any tactical "looking" at the map. (yes you can trust me- scheech!) :P

Both sides have the same tanks & number (5) with exact same # of rounds. (except mine, I get 10 & all with tungsten rounds!!)

Kerry, just one design question. How is it in all the scenarios of yours I play you some how manage to make my tanks out of paper maiche'?

We have another entrant- Bogdan.

He helped me with the CMBO Tourney & we've play tested alot of each others scenarios.

And, he's rasied some interesting questions:

1. I've read that the german tank will enjoy better amunition (and then balistic capabilities) german AP rounds are better.

2. The german crews, if veteran, will aim better and faster.

3. Russian didn't have that kind of extra issue. Germans will enjoy an "optic bonus" and not the soviet tankers.

Here is what I know from looking at the armor:

1. Ammo: The Axis AP ammunition is better based on the shown penetration power- although the difference is very slight (1-8mm) and at the 60* angle,except in the PzIVF's with the Soviets doing worse by 10mm. (Only the same ammo types will be used in the game). The biggest differences were in HE rounds which won't really be used in this scenario if given out at all.

2. Crew: I don't know enough exacting details about the crew differences to say one way or the other! They will at least all be Vets.

3. Optics: the shown game "optics" are the same for both sides tanks except in the Panther VA with the Soviets doing worse- dual mag vs binocular.

Please comment on what, if anything, needs to be modified for this to be as even as possibile.

Does anyone know if any other players are considering joining in?

I would say keep them both Vets and dont use Panther model As.

Based on little concern about the issues raised it will start next weekend or sooner. As long as we have an even # of players no problems on starting.

If an odd # I'll just randomly assign matches & the player left out will have to wait for an opponent.

So.. see if anyone else wants in! :)
