Hope your conversations with Jim Rose are much different than he conducted at GS. In my book he is the biggest a$$hat in computer wargaming. From what I have heard over the years, he has dynamited many bridges with game designers. I know for sure that is the case with John Tiller.
On the other hand Norm Koger seems to be a very low key guy who dislikes confrontation and heated discussion/argument. I think he still lives in the Austin area. SES' special flavor or DRM (reinforced by JR's special version of "customer relations") has stopped me from buying any of their games. Before SES, I bought everything that Norm had pumped out.

Here's the latest:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp....314a160d5988d3# http://forums.gamesquad.com/showthre...e-still-in-use Guess we'll see if SES' DRM and "special" version of customer relations led to their demise or if they will return in some form given their limited sales--of Norm Koger produced games!

The good news is that those who own {rent} JR's SES games suffered "only" a few days of not being able to play their chained-to-the-server games while those servers were down--all planned but without notice.
The better news is that JR is that now competing with Steam.
