This aircraft 'Texas Longhorn' was Lt. John D. Landers first assigned Warhawk. The Curtis P-40 Warhawk is the third highest produced American fighter aircraft, with 15,000 units produced. This incredible 1/35th scale model features retractable landing gears, a removable engine cover, and a slide-able cockpit cover that reveals a stunning level of detail, right down to the separate fabric harnesses. John Landers is remembered as a skilful pilot, and one of very few to achieve 'ace' status in both the Pacific and European theatres. This model of the plane in which he scored his first 6 victories against the Japanese is the best money can buy.
