What's different on the international version of The Professional? I really loved that movie -- truly outstanding.

Braveheart is the biggest joke of a movie ever made as far as Historical accuracy goes. While i will admit it made a good action movie, it had nothing to do with reality. They got the winners of the battles right and most of the names right but thats about it. Mel Gibson should be ashamed of himself for being apart of such a farce. Whats more most of the historicly uneducated people of Scotland belived that movie to be a relatively accurate portrayal of the truth and Mel Gibson is seen as something as an adopted national hero in the country now. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Dr. Strangelove -- Kubrick classic ( I guess it's not really a war movie).

Signs -- Great faith message that even an agnostic can appreciate.

The Excorism of Emily Rose -- Strong even-handed movie with another faith message at the end, Well done.

Team America -- one of the funniest movies I've ever seen!
"Team America Fuck Yeah!!!!!"

I can't speak for you but i go and see movies to be entertained, if I want historical accurracy I will read history books from both sides so to speak.
Face value that movie rocked! I don't care that William Wallace was 2 feet taller than Mel or that they used "Artisitc License" I was entertained and so were lots of other people I know... I get your point Shreckie but all in all it was a very well done movie - History be damned!

Shama-lama-ding-dong's best movie was "Sixth Sense" and I really liked
"Unbreakable" as well.

I will give you that "Signs" was a great movie up until about the last 15-20 mins..
******SPOILER ALERT********

The thing that got me was that throughout the movie we're told over and over how intelligent these "Beings" are and then we find out that water kills them.... They can't be too smart if they picked a planet where over 70% is covered with water......

The actors were very good and it kept the audience nervous but the end just killed it for me.

I have yet to see "Lady in the water" because of my major disappointment with the ending in "Signs" and "The Village"

I'll tell you what...he has a great hype team working for him thats for sure...

Man, Crim, you and I are soul brothers. I complained to everyone that listened that the ending of Signs was idiotic. I mean really, if you have the technology to fly across the galaxy in a spaceship, can't you create better weapons than sending a bunch of naked aliens down to the planet to hunt for people individually, and how in the world could the aliens miss the fact that the planet is covered in H2O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frickin idiotic I say. "Sixth Sense" was good but it seems he's been on a downhill slide since then.

Braveheart should have said "Pure Fiction" at the beginning. I agree that it was super-entertaining. Unfortunately, most people really think that Braveheart is historically accurate.

I tend to prefer strict adherence to historical fact if you are going to make a movie about historical figures. There is enough drama in real life to not need to make something up. That aside, before I knew it was a complete historical farce, I thought the movie was well done and was still entertained by it as well. Now a movie like Last of the Mohicans while set in a historical period, the characters were never a part of the historical record so artistic license can reign free so long as they get the period language, clothing, tactics etc. right.

I loved Braveheart. I think ya'll missed the whole point of Signs. It was meant to be a message on faith, so the Aliens really had little to do with the overall message of the movie. I loved it.

*****Right on Bro*****

Last of the Mohicans was freakin brilliant! Have you seen the director's cut of the movie? If you haven't your missing out on something special!
The cut adds about the standard 20 mins to the movie and SHOULD have been the theatrical release... It completely rounds the edges of the movie and made me go out and buy it once I borrowed the copy from a friend.

GREAT movie.... Magwa, was a great character ( but then again Wes Studi is a very underrated actor ) very well directed and the scenery was breathtaking..... The crazy thing is that it shot completely on the Duke Energy land....Home of the Nuclear power station go figure!
