Luftwaffe infantry Regimental Commander Flag

Hi ALL,

I just thought I would share with you a B-Day present - A mint non issued (note the paper tag) command flag which would have been used by a Luftwaffe Infantry CO. Not really flight related but so nice I decided to grab it because it makes for a nice display and down the road a good trade in item - thats "if" I ever let it go.

What would that flag attach to by the way?

This flag from what I know would have used with a command car or at a location to show the location of the Regt Commander - I have seen a steel type pole that was over 7 feet used to fly the flag from - btw the flag is double sided with an internal metal frame.
