This is another of my Favorites from Avalon Hill. The game is a grand strategy game with a map of europe and north africa and the eastern part of russia for the playing field. whats unique about this game is that you dont have your standard type of army counters. each country has a set number of armies that can be raised based on its population. each individual army has a record track to keep track of what types of units are in it. for example, infantry, armor, mech. inf., tac air, bombers, amphibious, ect... those force points are assigned at the units building phase and are assigned based on how many production points are controled by that country at the start of their turn. production points can also be spent on research to try and develope "wonder weapons" such as advanced submarines, missles, long range bombers ect...but there are risks involved. this is a very fun game with an easy learning curve. its kind of a dumbed down version of "The 3rd Reich" with a few new and cool twists all its own. here are a few pics.
