Default Interesting Photo

Check this out -



The caption for this picture reads - "American engineers attempting to mount a Calliope rocket system on a captured SdKfz. 251, date and location unknown."

I thought this was a pretty neat pic and plucked it off of another forum i belong to to share with you all here. It was usually the Germans that made up all the weird contraptions out of captured equipment. This is a time when it showed that the Americans were quilty of it as well.

you would think that they would use a HT with some tracks left on it!!!

Maybe the tracks came off when they fired it!

The calliope was probably captured from the yanks, mounted by the germans to the 251, and the whole contraption was captured by the Americans after it tracked.........
