I finally got my copy of Rome back and after all the downloading I have to say I am VERY pleasantly suprised how awesome this game looks.... The maps are BETTER than those of ROME:TW
The game play is also well done. Great Find Sspoom!

OK, i finally installed this game. Here's my next question. I can't figure out which patches I need. If I go to file planet, I see patch 1.3 and then 1.3 to 1.5. Do I need 1.1 and 1.2? If so, where do I get these. I can't find anything that confirms that if I have 1.3 I don't need 1.1 and 1.2.

Next question, where's the best place to download patches then since fileplanet doesn't have 1.1 and 1.2

Try the total war site, and or the lordz site. The lordz site should even walk you through it.

I got it all installed yesterday and even played a skirmish. Of course, I never read any rules etc. so I had no idea what I was doing.
My biggest issue. I would order my line of British rifleman to advance but when they got to their destination they had wheeled 90 degrees so instead of facing north, they were facing west. Is there a simple "wheel" command? And is there a simple advance command that keeps my limeys from wheeling?

you can also left click and drag a rectangle box that will show you how many ranks deep your guys are and what way they are facing. The best way to show you will be in game on T.S. Im abit rusty since I havent played in a few months

We've only gotten a 2 vs 2 NTW game one time I think. I promise you a 3 vs 3 or 2 vs 2 game will be a blast, literally.

I literally know nothing about how to command my troops since I impatiently only made it through 6 minutes of the RTW tutorial. I still need to learn how to form my troops into square and figure out why my troops wheel when I don't want them to.
That said, put me on the side that is expected to lose and I'll gaurantee that loss!
