I hope this is good. Unfortunately, it is based on Frank Miller's "300" (a graphic novel -- comic book) and not "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield, one of the best historical fiction novels in the past decade.
This movie is loosely tied to history. The real Spartans wore full battle armor and at Thermopylae anchored a small army of allies. They did fight one of the most heroic last stands in history just not by themselves and not naked! That said, I hope this movie kicks butt.

I agree, but I also think many people would probably like this movie better because of its fantasy aspect. You know, the ones in the video Andy posted.

I thought i saw Ogres or something like that in the trailer i saw on TV. What freakin joke this movie is going to be.
Oh and BTW, as a member of the Forum Police, Rob already started a thread on this movie in the movies section quite some time ago, LOL.
