Sit, sit the story is about to begin…

Chapter One- The Arrival

One day deep in Russia a platoon of captured Stug-IIII’s peacefully arrive outside “Rail town....”

Driver Toplov: "Oooo look, isn't it just the prettiest industrial city you've ever seen?"
Loader Mikhail: Yea, let me hop out & take a picture of it for the folks back home... I hope I get to ride on a train while we’re here.”

Gunner Ivan: "Shouldn't we keep driving; we might be under enemy observation up here."
Mikhail: Can’t be, the Col. said we’re perfectly safe here, and after all he did study the terrain carefully didn’t he say so?”

Commander Igor: "Say did anyone else just hear that "thud" sound?"
Toplov: "Nah, look at all those outlet stores; I’m glad I brought my “Stalincard,” I plan on stocking up.”

Igor: "I think someone IS shooting at us, I heard a "whoosh" sound just pass over us!”
Ivan: “I think my hair is on fire!”

Igo: “You’re dang straight, we're under fire!”

Toplov: “What the He**!
Igor: DRIVE- DRIVE…!!

Loader Mikhail: HA HA! What bad shots, one to our right, one over us & one under us! Those guys can’t hit the broadside of a Stug.” OH NO!”
Commander Igor- “ARE YOU HIT!”

Loader Mikhail: “No, I forgot to take the lens cap off my camera.”

Next up Chapter Two…

Chapter Two- entering "Rail Town."

Toplov: "Would you look at all the stores they have here, I love window shopping."
Ivan: "You're driving remember, so quit gawking & keep going fast!"

Igor: "Did you guys just hear some explosions?"
Mikhail: "I'll get my camera out, might be an opportunity for some good "Funniest Moments" shots."

Igor: "I better check in on Boris' team's progress. Come in "Mince-meat, this is "broadsideofabarn" come in Mince-meat." Hmmm they don't answer; I have a bad feeling about this town..."

Chapter 3- Exploring Rail Town

Driver Toplov: "What a lovely town, so clean & peaceful: a new sight around every corner... Did anyone else just hear a loud bang?"

Gunner Ivan: "YEOOOOOW! There are GERMANS in this town!!! No one said nothing about Germans being here did they Toplov?"
Toplov: "I don't think so, let me check that intel briefing again."

Loader Mikhail: "Ooo, I'm going to get a picture of this, who'd think we'd be sitting nose to nose with a German tank only 50m away?"

Commander Igor: "Are you all nuts! Drop that *#%$ camera and LOAD!!! FIRE! Yea, scratch one enemy stug."
Mikhail: "SEE, SEE! If I'd had my camera out I could have had a great Kodac moment."

Igor: "Back us up Toplov, I can hear more of the Hun's coming for us."
Toplov: "Why doesn't this thing have more reverse gears like our glorious Soviet tanks?"

Chapter 4- The Battle is on.

Gunner Ivan: "Drive Toplov Drive!"
Driver Toplov: "I am, this bug only has 1 fast gear!"

Loader Mikhail: "Say, did anyone see where our buddy Vladimir went?"
Commander Igor: "No, I'm worried about our butt at the moment- can't see a thing with the hatch down...quick turn left, pull in here! Now right, left again, now right!"
Ivan: "I'm going to be sick."

Mikhail:"Hey boss!! Theres a enemy Stug sitting right in front of us do you see that?"

Igor: "You idiot drop that camera- load - Fire!!!

Gunner Ivan: "Got'em, and who said I couldn't hit the broadside of a Stug. That makes 2 today!

Igor: "Wonderful Ivan, you win a cookie. But we're now pointed in the wrong direction. Hmmm now, I wonder where the rest of the plt is hiding?"

Chapter 5- end of story.

Commander Igor: Just got an order from the plt commander- we have all the enemy sighted now everyone attack before he can!

Loader Mikhail: Yea lets go!
Commander Igor: Toplov- Drive! Drive!
Driver Toplov: Hmmm, I can't seem to get this baby into gear.
Commander Igor: Thats strange all the other tanks are reporting that they are having trouble moving out as well.

Gunner Ivan: We had better get going before they get here......

Thus ends the glorious battle vs Thor.

In one turn he axed 3 of my "non-moving" tanks before mine barely began moving, then the next turn whacked another that got out "rotated," the following turn destroyed another that refused to move for 55 unexplicable seconds.

The game went from bad, to good to better to worse to over very quickly.

With the odds now 4:1 the fat Russian lady is singing.

EDIT- Ok, I just surrendered the game as my last tank has gun damage & I saw no point in having Thor spend a week trying to find it hidden at the far end of the map.

Fun game, with a lot of daring rushes that went Thors way.
