Default For the Week of December 13, 2009

Hanukkah is here and Christmas is just 11 days away, if you celebrate it in the traditional German way on Christmas Eve. So here's a few deals that just might make a late shopping Santa smile.

First up is a great stocking stuffer from Dragon and Troy's Toys. It's the 1:72 scale Early Production Tiger I with Zimmerit--Germany 1945 for $9.99.

While you might be able to drive this into the woods, this link has nothing do do with a golfer's "girlfriends":

For those who prefer them larger, we next feature the Unimax Force of Valor 1:32 scale US M3 Lee, Tunisia '42 from Toy Train Heaven for $35.75.

North Africa awaits Sanda Clause here:

We now take the air with reindeer, with the Hobby Master 1:72 scale MIG-21 MF JG-1, Dec. 1990 from Asheville Diecast for $23.30.

Here's the link with more pictures, including gear down:

Our final selection of this snowy week for many of you is a great deal on a bird from another line biting the dust in these hard times (and maybe in part because its MAP policies). From Franklin Mint/Armour through Historic Aviation, it's a great deal at $60.00 on the 1:48 scale F-22 Raptor "Spirit of America," which was flown by the 412th Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base in 1998.

Now, for the first time, the U.S. Air Force's next-generation fighter is available in a 1/48 scale, die cast model! Featuring engraved panel lines; a detailed, hand-painted cockpit; wing-mounted missiles; realistic exhaust nozzles; extended landing gear with rubber tires; and the markings of "Spirit of America," which was flown by the 412th Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base in 1998, this model measures 15½" long and arrives ready to display.

2 to 1 she'll beat the reindeer to your house--see for yourself here:
