We have four interesting selections this week from four different vendors and three different product lines. Our first is from Figarti by way of Treefrog Treasures. It is a 1/32 scale WWII M3-A3 Stuart Free French Tank offered for $40.00.

Your link is here:

http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/detail.aspx?ID=43

Our second armored pick gives you more than two for one. Ironically from Historic Aviation, it is the Corgi 1:50 scale The Battle of Kursk Diorama, featuring a Tiger and T-34/76 on a base. The price is $59.95.

Point your mouse east and click here:

http://www.historicaviation.com/prod...ubcategory=243

Heading to the skies, our first flying selection is not cheap. However to many collectors the Corgi 1:72 scale B-17F Memphis Belle is almost the Holy Grail of four engine collectors. J-Bar Hobbies say they still have them and will sell you one for $150.00. As they only have a not-so-great picture of the product box on their site, I'll feature one of Tim's pictures from his great Corgi site:

See this picture and more at Tim's place:

http://www.tricatus.co.uk/AA33301p1.htm

Here's the map to Memphis--on the second row:

http://www.jbarhobbies.com/shop/agor...=DIECAST-Corgi

Our final selection this week is from Aim-Higher Jets, although it is not a jet. It is a HA7003 Hobby Master USN Brewster F2-A2 Buffalo VS-201 USS Long Island (AVG-1) 1941 in 1:48 scale for $27.00. In addition Aim-Higher is offering free shipping on its Hobby Master products for the next few days, so don't wait too long if you want to order.

It's the dog days of summer, but we can still find a few good deals out there. We'll start with a classic W. Britain 1:35 scale Sherman with a hedge row cutter. Spirit of '76 has it with for $45.00.

Cut your way to bottom of this page:

http://www.spirit-of-76.com/toysoldi...wwII/index.htm

Our second vehicle selection will fit almost any budget. It's a 1:72 scale HMMWV M1114 1-36 Infantry, 1st Armored Division, Baghdad 2004 w/.50 cal M2 & LVOSS launchers from Dragon Armor and brought to you by the Toy Headquarters for $8.99.

This title features the markings of 1-36 INF of the 1st Armored Division. It is an accurate miniature replica of an actual vehicle that served in Baghdad in 2004. Accurately represented is the green and black camouflage scheme, and comes complete with a 0.50-cal M2 machine gun in the roof weapon station, and with LVOSS launchers mounted on each corner of the roof.

Main Features:
- Fully assembled and pre-painted
- True to 1/72 scale
- Includes display case
- Includes roof mounted 0.50 cal M2 machine gun
- Detailed LVOSS launchers mounted on all four corners of the roof
- Realistic weathering
- Length About 3 inches
- Model Production 2006

Patrolling the streets in Iraq is no easy task, and this duty is fraught with danger, so much so that Humvees used by U.S. troops for patrols are now exclusively up-armored variants. The M1114 HMMWV is widely used in this role, as its armor panels offer greater protection against the deadly IEDs, RPGs and bullets that might suddenly strike at any time of day.

Surge toward this link:

It's time give our airplane buffs their turn. First out of the box is especially for those of you who want a big Dauntless, but can't see coming out of pocket for about a bill and a half for a Hobby Master and aren't allergic to plastic. From the Racers Den for $39.99, we feature the 1:32 scale BBI Elite Force SBD Dauntless " White C46", USS Enterprise, Battle of Eniwetok, 1944.

Turn on the carrier's lights and aim here:

http://www.racersdeninc.com/BBI_Elit...En_p/99114.htm

To balance things off, we feature the Corgi 1:72 scale Mitsubishi A6M2-21 Zero Kasumigaura Flying Group Japan 1943 from EDiecast for $24.95.

Your training Sentai reports here:

This finely detailed diecast model portrays the A6M2 Zero Fighter as it was flown by Flight Petty Officer Saburo Sakai of the Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force in China during 1941.

Saburo Sakai was one of the few "high scorers" to survive the war. He first flew in China and later joined the land-based naval wing at Tainan. On December 8, 1941, he flew with the rest of the Tainan Wing to attack an American air base in the Philippines.

Both of our armor selections this week are from Diecast Direct, but that is where almost all similarities end. Our first selection is a Dragon 1:72 scale diorama German Sturmtiger "Captured" by U.S. Infantry (Diorama), Reichswald 1945 for $13.97.

Here's the link:

http://www.diecastdirect.com/asp_mod...ctCode=DW60233

Our second armor pick is a very large 1:18 scale 21st Century U.S. M41 WALKER BULL DOG TANK (WINTER) for $39.99 with free shipping.

Winter is on the way here:

http://www.diecastdirect.com/asp_mod...ode=TW10125-S2

Both of our aircraft selections this week are Corgi items, but again that's about all that is similar. Our initial flying pick is a 1:32 scale Hawker Sea Hurricane 1B - No. 880 SQ. Fleet Air Arm, HMS Indomitable, Indian Ocean, offered by 3000Toys as part of their Fall Sale for $59.95.

Turn your carrier into the wind here:

Our final featured piece this week is a 1:72 scale East German Air Force MIG 29 Fulcrum, offered by Motormint for just $29.98.

A Constant Game of Chess
The Cold War battle for air supremacy was a constant chess game between the USA and the USSR. For every F-series fighter the US developed, Russia answered with a MIG. The MIG 29 Fulcrum was the last Cold War fighter that Russia made for herself and her allies. This bisonic (1518 mph top speed) fighter was difficult to develop, going through 19 prototypes. Although it has proved capable in practice sorties against F-16s, its combat record, starting in the Gulf War, is 0-12. This specific Fulcrum was flown with these special colors only once as the last official flight of the Eat German Air Force. Many Fulcrums were adapted as part of the modern day Luftwaffe.

Model Feature
• Opening Cockpit
• Display Stand Included
• Removable Landing Gear
• Corgi Limited Edition of 2600
• Precision Die-Cast Replica
• 9.5 Inches Long
• 1:72 Scale

Here's your ticket to that former nation with some many interesting "female" Olympians:

As Summer turns to Fall, we feature two classic armor picks at closeout prices.

The first is from Bad Cat and is the Tiger I WITTMANN 1:56 HOBBY MASTER HG0115 in 1:56 scale. The sales price is just $14.99, but you can save an additional 10% if you buy by Monday.

The coupon code is on the page linked below:

http://www.badcataviation.com/tiiwi1homahg.html

Our second armor selection is also from the German side of World War II, but appeared earlier in that conflict. Brought to you by the Military Toyshop for $12.99, we feature the 1:72 Admiral Toys Panzer III H Eastern Front 72002.

See if Oberst Klink finally followed through on his promise to send Sgt. Schultz to the Eastern Front here:

http://www.militarytoyshop.com/produ...For=&PT_ID=222

Our first pick of the air this week is also from the Military Toyshop. Offered at $19.99, it is a 1:72 Scale CORGI HAWKER TYPHOON NF MK.IB 1943 C36505.

Link to this famous UK flier here:

http://www.militarytoyshop.com/produ...For=&PT_ID=222

Our final selection is another pick from the 3000Toys Fall sale, and this time it finally is officially that season. After featuring a couple versions of Hurricane from the Corgi 1:32 scale line, we will stay with the line but shift sides to feature the Messerschmitt Bf109G-2 Yellow 12, Oberleutnant Heinrich Ehrle, Staffelkapitan 6./JG5, Petsamo, Finland 1943. Like the other two, it's priced at $59.95.

This particular aircraft is remarkable for the livery. To provide camouflage more suited to the terrain over which it was operating, Ehrler's early Gustav had been given a coat of washable paint (including the fuselage cross), to which large irregular patches of dark green had been added.

You can see it for yourself here:

Our first featured tank this week is a 1:35 scale version of the German World War II workhorse, the Pz IV. This is not just any H model, but is from the Tamiya Masterwork version from Military Issue for $78.95. This is much cheaper than all your money that the U.S. government is about to throw to Wall Street this week. In fact you might want to aim your Panzer in the direction of you favorite politician, just to get the week off on the right foot.

Replicating the most common German tank of World War II, this professionally assembled and hand painted 1/35 scale plastic model features textured surfaces, an opening commander's hatch, an aluminum 7.5cm KwK 40 gun barrel, an anti-aircraft machine gun, turret and side armor, detailed metal tracks, authentic 2nd Panzer Division markings, and more. Measures 7¾" long and arrives ready to display.

Highly detailed and accurately reproduced 1/35 scale model fully assembled and painted. The Panzerkampfwagen IV was Germany's most important tank during WWII. Metal tracks add to overall weight of model plus more accurately reproduces sagging. Also features a lathe turned aluminum gun barrel. Commander's hatch can be set in the opened or closed position. Painted in dark yellow base with dark green camouflage. Markings are for the 2nd Panzer Division. Overall length=200mm
