Ok , I know I got my copy REALLY REALLY late compared to most of you so please bare with me. I am stuck right now and I need some advice,

I am in the prison and I am at the part where Alyx is helping me through by opening up doors that are sealed. I am currently stuck at the second group of sentries that you have to set up and defend them ( you have to set up 3 of the sentries....a fourth would have been a lot better! ) I have tried different tactics & positions for the sentries ( I swear I hate ManHacks ) and I have lasted a little over five mins. ( I litteraly timed it ) but after that I always get overrun by the combine troops and ManHacks....

Any advice from someone who's gotten past that would be appreciated.

The only tactically logical solution to your problem is the antithesis of the ManHack known as the GameHack...

I have NEVER hacked a game in my life contrary to what some people think.... This is the first time I have ever gotten stuck and asked for advice... It could be chalked up to my playing HL2 yesterday for 3 plus hours.... God I love rainy days....!

I just wanted to tell you that I finally figured out how to pass that level..... the secret: A rum and coke a few mins. before I played and then I just took the fight to the combine soldiers instead of defending I went on the offensive for the little over 6 mins you have to hold them off. ( It also helps that I put boxes and crates and barrels in front of the paths that the combine had to take to get to me, it was just enough of a maze that slowed them down which enabled me to cut them down early enough that they never got to touch the sentries!)

Now I am fighting the Combine Shock Troops (BADASSES) they are dressed in all white armored uniforms. So much fun is to be had with the pulse rifle. Does anyone else like it when you shoot them with the secondary weapon and they dematerialize in front of you..... Like an episode of Star Trek but with a deadly outcome.

If your at the Helo section than you have already picked up the Laser Guided Rockets? If you haven't then you aren't racing around in the buggy yet.... Have you seen the Antlions?

The loading screens are hard to look at because they are so blurry!

I hated them as well.
