Hello guys,

Remember that this mission was supposed to be a mobile fast convoy driving down friendly-controlled roads delivering some "critical" supplies to the General. Now they find themselves having to fight & weaving their way along enemy interdicted roads.

The idea of having powerful / slow ponderous armor just for this escort was not planned.

THUS- the weird group of units you have to select for the mission.

The Soviet forces in the game are not really designed for any "fun" or choices, the limitations on "mobile/light" suck. The only way to get anything is to drop back to the 1941 units.

Speed: I had to lower it grudgingly for more variety- I didn't exclude the Val/Matilda "INFANTRY" category because, #1 they move like molasses & #2 they have no HE rounds to bother the Inf with. (You can also have pure Flamethrowers as well.) If the date was July '43 they'd have HE & be excluded (although the Axis has PF's then.)

The T-70 is a speedy little armored beast with AP/HE, and here only the Ax 75/L24 has a "HC" shot at it, (assuming it randomly gets any) everything else requires Tungsten ammo that they don't get unless the designer allots it)

Heavy Armored car / AA- anything thing in the Vehicle Column.
{a trade off of the slow armored Val/Mat vs. speed of the vehicles throwing Inf everywhere}

The Team Captains will need to send me the selected Units info.

The 5 ATR's could be too many, but lets see what happens.
The Soviet players can just say how many they want 0-5 they may want zero... I'll just make it so in the editor. If they select a formation with "10" ATR's they can subtract the extra points for "5" and spend them else where: I'll work it out in the final wash.

Situation: Another day of chaos on the eastern front as enemy scout forces have penetrated the front lines near "Noborgski," cutting off the roads to Army Headquarters.

Tonight the Commanding General, JL Picard, is giving a large party for his honored guests of the Romulas family. They must get through unharmed and, he must have his favorite drink on hand, Tea-"Earl Grey"- hot. A bunch of light infantry units taking a break on his supply roads is not going to deny him of this well deserved festivity...


Orders: You are to take immediate command of all friendly forces in the area and regain control of the situation: including seeing that the Supply Convoy carrying the guests and the tea, ("Earl Grey" - hot) make it safely through this neutral zone.

Total Purchase points- 1600. Forces can be selected from 1941- March 1943 with the following limitations. {Note: Allied players have to go to 1943 to purchase any ½ track M5 transports}

A. 1200 purchase points:
Main setup area units (Red/Black Zone) Very few units or tanks will meet these restrictions… You will have to look around & choose.
Armor: Must have a 30Mph speed or higher and be in the “Light” armor category only, with a main gun less than 75mm. Gun 45mm or less any speed (No Soviet T-70’s)
Vehicle: { Edit- Any gun}
Support: No gun over 50mm.
Arty/Air: None.
Infantry: You must have at least 1 platoon mounted on separate vehicles, not on the supply trucks (supposedly to escort the convoy).

B: Interdiction Units: (have cut the roads) 400 points of Infantry / Support units, these will be placed as you like in up to 5 different hamlet setup areas- (divide up the 400 pts as you want).
C. “The Lost Guys:” (self explanatory) you can select any 2 Support (yellow colored) infantry type units (at no cost) that will be placed in Diverskiville.

Supply Convoy: Each side will be given four Trucks that will be marked as “MUST EXIT” from the map. They can have units embarked on them AFTER setup. You can also purchase as many “decoy” trucks as you want.

Kerry--you need to correct the 1,200 point force vehicle selection limitations. Is it any gun, only guns of 45 mm or less, or some other mixed qualification rule?
