First turn: my mg in the two story heavy building opened up on Bill's infantry and one assault gun moving across toward the middle. Looks like he's sending a force to occupy the middle too. My gun on the right may get a shot at the Stug.

Turn 2: I got three good shots off at a Stug, hit close but missed. He was firing smoke to cover his infantry headed for the middle. Saw another assault gun move up. Moving machine guns from buildings. Most of his infantry went to ground. His infantry is showing up as Finns. I wonder if they bought a Finnish battalion -- are there Finnish troops? I don't even know. My infantry is following pretty much the same route as his toward the middle but haven't been shot at. I took the covered arc off my right at gun -- too much smoke now and I don't want to give away its position. Hopefully, I'll make it to the middle before him. T-34s on the right are running around making noise. Spotter is almost in position and ther rest of my infantry is slowly moving up the right edge.

Definitely Finns, more than likely a battalion. I watched the movie again and it also looks as if the assault gun is a IIIf, so probably a platoon of them. I'm guessing that they have some guns defending their village, so I'm going to send both platoons of T34s to engage the assault guns on the left and then maybe flank the town. I doubt they have any at capability other than the Stugs on the left. I wish I had the spotter in the town. His infantry is bunched up and crossing toward the middle, could have slaughtered them. :(

Movie three: he's still firing smoke with two Stugs and moving Finns toward the middle -- I'm going to have a suprise waiting for them. He started dropping artillery -- probably a spotter from the Finn Battalion, but the rounds are falling at the front right of my village and doing no harm.

I looked at the Finn Battalions. They probably bought a Sissi Battalion, 1300 or so points for a veteran battalion: an 81 mm spotter, an infantry platoon -- rifle, three Sissi Companies (each platoon has 2, 9 man smg squads), a company of Maxims (12 total), and a platoon of 6 or 8 at rifles. So they probably bought a few guns for defence, probably only one because german guns are expensive. They have at least one platoon of Stug IIIfs. That leaves them with enough points to buy a company or so of infantry for defense as well. A regular rifle battalion of Finns is near 1800 points, so I bet they bought the Sissis. They have a bunch of smg squads to assault us with. But I don't imagine they have much at in their town. If we can find their gun/guns and take them out with our spotter, we should be able to maul them with the T34s. I changed my mind about sending both T34 platoons left and am only sending one.
