I'll probably get this one, I prefer having a hard copy so things don't suddenly get "lost" in hyperspace.
Is anyone planning any tourneys or player aid games/tutorials for this? What about running commentary / Action Reports? The Devils Den posts were interesting. One if the things I found interesting about the level of game-detail was the mentioned Courier delay times. BTW- can you actually tell in the game (not just checking numbers) the difference between having a "good" and "bad" leader present? If so how far down does that go, from what level of leader? (Army - Brigade - Platoon).

The digital copy Soldier refered to was for the Take Command 2 2nd Manassas game.
The multiplayer game is Gettysburg and wont be out till late this year. In TC2M you can tell hoe good a commander is in a couple of different ways, The 1st is actually a tab that will tell you his traits, I actually have only looked at this a few times. Better commanders affect the troops from further away, a good commander will be able to affect his whole brigade at once (assuming they are lined up close) while a poorer commander might only affect the unit (regiment) he is directly behind. Not nearly as crystal clear as CM but still workable. If you havent downloaded the demo for TC2M you should get it and take a look. It is one of the better Demos I have seen and you can play it literally for hours. It starts at brigade level then works up through division command to Corps level command. There is also an Artillery demo in it as well. As for running commentary there is just a message screen that pops up when a courier arrives which tells you what the commander wants/expects. Tace Command 2nd Manassas is so deep that it is very hard to even scratch the surface here.

Today I saw TC Second Manassas at Half Priced books for just $9.98, or two dollars more than the CMSF that was on the shelf.

Yeah, i've played the Take Cammand 2nd Manassas demo and really enjoyed it, but i was refering to the new multiplayer game. I hope they dont screw up a good thing in the second game like so many companies in the past have.
