USAAF hat
This is an Ebay pick up for $50! a perfect hat complete with the owners name. So far I have collected a list of all his missions (in his own words), and spoke to a friend of his whom was his pilot - Odis Taylor. Mac served in the 458th BG ( Horsham St. Faiths) 752nd SQ and was a bombardier on a B-24. Although I have many many more Luftwaffe items - this hat and the story of the man whom owned it makes this my favorite - I feel connected to the histroy in a way that is hard to explain - something none of the Luftwaffe items I have can compare. Regards, John

Did you buy it from the owner, Mr. McNaney?

No but I would have liked to - it was at the estate sale :( The ironic part of this styroy was he was very much into preserving the history of his service and the memories for future generations. So it was fate that someone like me would have this and continue to keep the story alive for the future.
