Supposed to be a light mobile force scenario but the Soviets just had to keep going heavier & heavier with no imagination... (Axis vs. Axis would rock- ha!)
"Lost Guys" - Experience can be anything. Changes - Armor: (few axis- better hope the escorting 1/2 Tracks are up to snuff!) 1.Must be still noted as “Light” armor category only (no AG's). 2. Main Gun 45mm or less. 3. Any speed (No Soviet T-70’s) Vehicle: Any gun Support: No gun over 50mm. ATR's - yea, figure the Soviets can have 50 at almost no cost, huge range and they shoot forever.... Say 5 Max since I can edit extra's them out & adjust the points. What do the Soviet players say?

There doesnt seem to be anything for the soviets to buy.
ATRs being the only real answer to the huge amount of axis halftracks and armoured car options and were being asked to limit them to 5? T-70s? why no T-70s? they only have a 47 gun. In essence this nearly limits the russians to T-60 (20mm) or Ba class armored coffins.

There has to be a limit on ATR's in a light armor/truck game.
With regard to light tanks, the Axis are limited (still) to Finn captured BT types without radios or the crappy Toldi (20 mm gun). No German tanks are available to us. The obvious Allied choice are Stuarts. The Germans have some 37 mm HT's.

Ok I can go with a limit on ATRs but 5 seems too low to me.
Seems like they would be too easy to prep for and counter. Chime in everyone! Am I overeacting =) ?

Limit the ATR's to twice the number of Armored vehicles the Russians select, or 8 max.

Are Pumas considered armor?

Pumas aren't around that early.

Ok I understand the concerns about ATRs and will be fine with whatever
is deemed to be fair. I bow to people with the more thorough troop inventory/ knowledge/balance/gameplay(cause Im a little lacking). =)

8 ATR's a side seems like too many to me, unless we want to make this game into an ATR shooting gallery. Remember these puppies have excellent range; have large amount of ammo (especially the Russian versions); are very effective against anything less than a medium tank (especially when used in a group); and are very difficult to spot unless infantry is very close.
Kerry's idea of a limit of 5 (+/- 1) seems right to me.

On the new armor/vehicle rules communicated by Kerry via email, German heavy armored cars and Soviet Val's and Matilda's are now allowed. Is that what was intended?
