Ken Burn's "The War" on PBS
Has anyone else been watching it?
It shows quite a bit of footage I haven't seen before. It's excellently put together and shows a non-biased presentation of life in the U.S. during the war. It has some real thought provoking segments.... It should be a MIUST-see. |

Im planning on getting the DVDs but I havent been able to catch it on the tube.

I too thought it was below Burns usual mark. He should of done two docs, one on the home front, and one on the war itself. I had a few other issues as well with it as well, but ill leave those dogs lie as i dont want to be at the center of another KG controversy, lol.
The Civil War series was by far his best work IMHO.
